- Abstract:
- The pots developed by A. B. Hatch at the [Harvard] Biological Laboratories in the early 1930s consisted of a combined container and source of fertilization for the young seedling. To test the survival and growth of seedlings under various conditions of soil and ground cover, several small sample plots were established at Harvard Forest and in Petersham in early June 1934. Observations were reported in 1940.
