- Observations made from a trip to Naushon Island about the forests. List of species - white and black oaks, beech and hickory cover a large portion of the island. Topography, soils, damage from wind, ring counts from trees downed by wind, damage done by deer browsing, infestation of disease fungi and/or deleterious insects, planting of trees, management of the land were all discussed in the papers.
