- Abstract:
- The problem: How to control radial-line triangulation? Image distortion which results in an image displacement is due to three factors: lens distortion, relief and tilt. It is entirely possible at this stage of research to construct a rough topographical map by the use of radial-line triangulation. The best approach appears to be the one in which the radial plots are set up to the same scale as that of the principal points. In that particular case, four elevations out of nine were computed within ten feet, while only one was over sixty feet in error.
