- Agricultural operations, other than forestry, are conducted on a relatively small proportion of the land in the Town of Petersham.
- Approximately 1600 acres, about 6 per cent of the total are is cropland or plowable pasture. An almost identical acreage is tony or woodland pasture. Only eleven farms had more than ten cows. Five different farms were examined for this paper, listing present situation, problems and possibilities, crop summary and financial summary....
