- Abstract:
- Petersham, MA land ownership mapping project. Year one of the project aerial photographs from 1952 were obtained and enlarged to a scale of 1" equals 400' and proved to be very useful for outlining individual holdings. The first year concentrated on the properties that had well defined and mapped boundaries. Many of these were public holdings and covered a sizeable acreage (16 landowners and over 7,300 acres). Sixty-one private owners were mapped and accounted for nearly 3,100 acres. Leaving 10,400 acres belonging to 77 different owners for the following year to
- be mapped and landowners to be contacted.
