- Abstract:
- Report on edible plants found on Harvard Forest property. Trees and wild plants offer an untapped source of vitamins, minerals, and good eating. In times of emergencies, knowing which plants are edible could save a person from starving to death. But even in an urban kitchen, wild plants should have a place. The flavors that wild foods offer are unique, and food connoisseurs, as well as Nature enthusiasts, can enjoy the economy, diversity and fun that collecting, using and eating wild plants will bring.
