- Abstract:
- The proposed project would create an approximately 15-minue, multi-projector, slide/tape program providing an introduction to the history and ecology of the forests on and around the Harvard Forest in Petersham. The slide show, drawing on past and current research at Harvard Forest would provide Harvard students in Cambridge and at Harvard Forest (i.e. Freshman Seminar, Forest Ecology, Landscape Ecology/GSD), other students and visitors with an introduction to the forests they will be studying and exploring outside. Two previous slide shows have been very well received by the several thousand students and visitors who see them annually.
