- The project will increase our understanding of the effects of N deposition on gaseous N loss from temperate forest ecosystems. We propose to conduct a systematic survey of gaseous N loss from temperate forest ecosystems along a deposition gradient in the northeast US and use existing N deposition simulation experiments at these sites.
