- Abstract:
- A proposal to the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program (Small research contracts program). The proposal is to inventory and document the species diversity of ants living in non-forested peatlands of Massachusetts. Ants are the most important invertebrate taxon in terrestrial ecosystems, can be rapidly sampled, and are good surrogates for colonization of other invertebrate species.
