- Abstract:
- From forests to farming, from pasture to plantation, the people of Massachusetts have manipulated the land. Practically no virgin forests exist in the area anymore even though 300 years ago the whole region was covered in woods. It seems that such a long-term, massive disruption should cause some measureable effect in the landscape today. I sought to discover the remnants of the land's disruption through this project.
