- Copy in TS stand record file (HF 1833-01). Eradication of Purple Loosestrife at Tom Swamp VI. A crew of 5 researchers pulled or dug out the purple loosestrife growing along the southeast edge of Harvard Pond, by the east parking area. The flower heads were cut, bagged and disposed of in the Harvard Forest dumpster. Future plans are to return once a year for the next few seasons to continue working on control.
