- Abstract:
- The primary goal of the proposed research program is the enhance the ability of research programs sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, NASA, the Department of Energy and other government agencies to acquire, analyze and distribute high-resolution maps of important environmental attributes. We will develop an instrumentation package for collecting high quality, high-resolution digital images and other remote sensing data, and a suite of analysis tools for creating geographically registered high-resolution attribute maps. The systems will be integrated into operational activities of the USDA Forest Service.
