- Abstract:
- Noreen Tuross, a professor in Harvard's Anthropology Department, ran a course at Harvard Forest in 2004, titled "Human Modification of the Landscape." The class emphasized methods of inferring past human activity using phosphorus analysis and other techniques.
- In 2008, Tuross brought other classes (AN1140, AN2045) to Harvard Forest. Soil cores were taken from the Pierce farm, the Community House pasture, the tannery and the Bryant farm. A map of the Pierce farm was created.
