- Abstract:
- Increasing evidence demonstrates that changes in soil microbial dynamics can lead to changes in ecosystem function, but the factors determining the assemblage and functional diversity of soil biota are not well understood. Forest soil fungi, which play a key role in the C and N cycles through decomposition of organic matter and nutrient exchange with primary producers are susceptible to a number of environmental stressors.
