- Abstract:
- Lambert and Weiss will coordinate the release of a peer-reviewed publication summarizing the ecological and economic impacts of invasive forest pests and pathogens, along with policy solutions. Also, prepare project summaries for journalists, policymakers, and business leaders, and will assist with the design and publication process for those project summaries. Coordinate outreach activities for media, policymakers, and business leaders in collaboration with Cary Institute staff.
- May 1 to December 31, 2017: We will take advantage of the current policy moment to advance forest pest prevention via the following scope of work: Make policy recommendations more actionable in collaboration with legal advisors form the Harvard Environmental Law Clinic, conduct outreach to stakeholders and decision-makers to educate them on the impacts of forest pests and possible solutions, and update messaging to make the case for acting on these solutions now.
