- Abstract:
- August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017:
- Sustainable Working Landscapes is entering its second year and is developing a research "tool kit" for conservation landowners at a series of Model sites across New England, and building a wider network of those doing similar stewardship and research. The tools in the kit aim to enlist scientific research and community education in support of active conservation land stewardship.
- October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018:
- Continue field research and education projects in Weston and Walden Woods and work toward publication of results. Our paper on community forestry in Weston is in review. Continue to catalyze and collaborate with research projects at other sites in the network. Continue to build the network through meetings at Harvard Forest. Promote the Sustainable Working Landscapes approach to conservation through meetings, conferences, a web site, and publications.
