- Abstract:
- Collaborative project to embed public engagement with Science (PES) into the cultures and practices of two Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites:the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in New Hampshire and the Harvard Forest in Massachusetts. The goals are: (1) to build knowledge about the mutual learning that takes place among adult stakeholders and scientists in face-to-face engagement settings; (2) to build knowledge about scientists' and stakeholders' views of PES (attitudes and efficacy) and how these might change over times with PES experiences; (3) to produce evidence-based PES practices, strategies, and resources for long -term ecological research programs.
