- Abstract:
- Tree-killing pests are destroying wildlife habitat and making our Northern Forests less safe and welcoming for recreation. Lax policies currently do not adequately protect forests, and the situation is expected to get worse. The Harvard Forest Science Policy Exchange recently coordinated a team of scientists and policy experts who conducted a new scientific and economic review of this problem, and developed practical and achievable strategies to halt this crisis by preventing the importation and establishment of new pests.
