- Five summers of support for two undergraduate summer research assistants per year of the project as part of the Harvard Forest summer REU program to work solely on the integrated research and education plan proposed by P.I. Record. Roles of the undergraduates will include curating and analyzing Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) and Organization for Biological Field Stations (OBFS) experimental data, analyzing NEON data to parameterize a scale-transition theory model, present at nation conferences after their research experiences, attending Environmental Data Initiative meetings and developing an app using Shiny to provide a visualization tool that can be disseminated for use in classroom exercises on scale-transition theory.
