- Abstract:
- We propose to deploy a Network Improvement Community with faculty and student participants from three liberal-arts colleges and a Research-1 university to enhance the education of diverse undergraduates in the uses, value, performance, and ethics of reproducible science. Statement of common goal: The overreaching goal of our NIC is to enhance the training of undergraduate students who are interested in data science to effectively and ethically use tools and techniques based on data provenance--the information needed to document the origins of data, including how it was created and transformed--in the service of research for society.
