  • There have been many taxonomic changes over the 79 years since the earliest herbarium collections of Sphagnum Harvard Forest HF, that were made by W. S. Benninghoff in 1946 in the Tom Swamp Tract.
  
  
  • This is a multiyear project developing a list of the Sphagnum (peat moss) species at Harvard Forest. It also serves to develop a better understanding of the Sphagnum species and their ecology in Massachusetts.
