- June 12, 1989 Letter from HF Director J.G. Torrey to Richard N. Bryant. Keeping Bryant informed about the activities at and uses of the Harvard Forest, especially in the area which abuts his property along Pierce Road.
- September 6, 1989. Notes from HF Director J.G. Torrey about his visit with R.N. Bryant. Talked about Pierce Road and the EMS tower, his land abutting this area and if he had any change in land use for his property. They discussed gates and putting one in at his yard entrance.
