- Letter to the Last Mile Implementation Liason at eh Massachusetts Broadband Institue regarding urgent need for broadband in Petersham. Harvard Forest housing does not have Internet access. Researchers need access round the clock to conduct their research in an effective manner. Land owned by the Forest does not have access to hard-wired or wireless access. About 2,000 acres of land in two other major tracts located in central Petersham do not have any access and thus ability to conduct sophisticated monitoring projects on them is limited.
