- Old field pine thinned in 1963 and area fertilized, In PH IX, Stand #5, 1956 Cruise
- March 1963
- 1. Appearance of stand (O.F.W.P) after thinning of March 1963. Some logs remain to be skidded.
- 2. Appearance of stand after thinning. Residuals with small narrow crowns - were intermediates in unthinned stand. Preserved because of better stem form.
- 3. Crowns of white pine residuals immediately after thinning. Tend to be sparse and restricted to upper quarter of stem.
- June 1963
- 4. Planted Douglas fir east end stand 5, May 1963.
