- S-4584-C. Even-aged stand of white pine after the first operation of a shelterwood cutting made 1924-25. Logs have been removed and slash burned. Scattering hardwoods cut into cordwood.
- S-4585-C. Selection cutting as applied to a spruce forest, "Tom Swamp" Annex, Harvard Forest, Petersham, Mass. May 11, 1925.
- S-4588-C. Clear cutting in strips in white pine and hemlock. The object of this is to determine if natural seeding from the surrounding trees will establish a satisfactory forest reproduction. After natural growth is well established on the open area, adjoining strips will be removed. The lumbering operation was carried on in the winter of 1924-25. May 12, 1925.
