- Abstract:
- In 1960 W. F. Murison began a study of the Schwarz Tract for the purpose of developing the aesthetic aspects of forest management. He resurveyed the tract, assessed its present condition, revised plans for its management in terms of its intended purposes and supervised the work of a student brought in for the summer of 1961 to put the plans into practice.
- The map of a 3.28 acre southwest portion of the Schwarz Tract has no name or date on it, but the handwriting matches the handwriting on related data collected by Murison in June 1960 (see HF 1929-11, folder 11). The gridded strips show the locations of trees by row and plot. (Row numbers run south to north. Plot numbers run west to east.)
